Important results from the project
Create opportunities for applied research in order to strengthen research in Quality Management and Swedish competitiveness. The vision behind the establishment of SQMA has been to re-establish the meaning of ´Swedish quality´ and ´Made in Sweden´ Each university has its unique research profile and the purpose of SQMA has been to create a cross-industry innovation system, in which private and public sector and academia are tied together.
Expected long term effects
Through the establishment of SQMA it has been possible to unify the fragmented competences in quality management in Sweden.
Approach and implementation
With the Delphi study as a basis, which purpose was to identify the main quality challenges in ten years´ time, the following steps were taken: - Workshops with stakeholders - The identification and prioritization of research projects according to the study - Mapping of competencies in SQMA - Matching of skills with the identified projects - Joint research applications to stakeholders and other donors.
