Important results from the project
Yes, the objectives were largely met. The project delivered according to the plan: development of second and third generation AHM, verification/validation, equivalence testing, ML and compliance work, and commercialization preparations. The delay in WP2/WP3 was handled without changing the schedule. An important additional results were strong early sensor equivalence results, as well as presentations of clinical results from previous clinical studies (which positively impacted the project).
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to contribute to the market introduction of a non-invasive solution for monitoring cardiac and pulmonary pressure in heart failure. The effects are expected to be better clinical decision-making, more resource-efficient care, fewer invasive procedures and strengthened European medtech competitiveness through Acorai´s continued development and future commercialization.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented in work packages with clear responsibilities: Acorai led the project, testing, compliance and commercialization; Innokas was responsible for product development and manufacturing preparations; MiM.ai contributed with the ML/foundation model. The implementation was followed up through project management, partner dialogue, milestones, cost reporting and ongoing risk management.
