Purpose and goal
To strengthen Swedish competitiveness by developing and implementing digital technology for more sustainable transport systems.
Drive Sweden brings together large and small companies, public organizations, universities and research institutes to jointly create, test and demonstrate new connected, shared and automated solutions that contribute to increased competitiveness and a more efficient and sustainable use of vehicles, street space and road infrastructure in Sweden.
Expected effects and result
During stage 4 (2025-2027), we strengthen and develop Drive Swedens´s role as a knowledge node and as a creative engine for the development and implementation of solutions that build on the opportunities of digitalization. Long-term impact goals and milestones are described in the program plan and implementation plan.
Planned approach and implementation
The work is driven through four focus areas with potential to develop further after the end of the program. These are Automatiserad Transporter, Data and digital infrastructure, Micromobility and Micrologistics, and Car Sharing. The focus areas are staffed with partners from the program. The focus areas´ task is to support ongoing projects, collect lessons learned from the program´s portfolio, arrange knowledge-raising program activities, and highlight common system barriers to address.
