Important results from the project

The purpose of this project was two-fold, first to identify barriers related to digitalization transformations for Swedish industry and second to propose priority areas for Swedish high-level committee for future development work leading to sustained competitiveness of Swedish industry. This has been achieved through structured data collection and analysis as well as webinars and reports for key stakeholders.

Expected long term effects

Creating such holistic framework for barriers of digital transformation will allow companies, industry experts, and policy makers to better understand the nature of different types of barriers, how to respond to them, and in extension to develop and implement digitalization transformation more effectively

Approach and implementation

The project has conductet four tasks related to implementation. Task I- Benchmark study on state-of-art in digital transformations, Task II- Designing the data collection protocol with involvement of experts, Task III- Interviewing respondents from diverse Swedish industry and actors (e.g. SMEs), and Task IV- Presentation and dissemination of findings towards members from samverkansgrupp, Vinnova and other stakeholders. The assessment is that all these activities have been successful.
