Important results from the project

A company in the aerospace industry needs to deal daily with the challenge with high flexibility and short series that is common. Digitising the methodology with daily management meetings and visualisation of planning and status of interactive whiteboards on large touch screens has had an effect on important key figures such as efficiency and delivery performance. By developing a specially adapted solution for companies in the aerospace industry, the entry barrier has been lowered and more people can benefit from the concept.

Expected long term effects

By developing a specially adapted solution for the aerospace industry and putting it into operation at PTC, SME´s can see how digital daily management in the aerospace industry works and get inspiration. The use of the customised solution makes it easier to make the right decision in your daily work. Decisions that increase, for example, productivity, delivery performance and commitment to improvement work. This increases the competitiveness of the company that uses the solution.

Approach and implementation

The project work has been following an agile project model. To steer the project towards achieving the desired objectives, the development was done through iterations and with a closely linked feedback loop where comments and ideas were prioritised based on budget and schedule. Planned workshops aimed to process results from the analysis and the results from the project. The purpose was also to inform and involve companies outside the project, such as other SME´s in the aerospace industry. Participants at the workshop expressed very positive feedback about the project.
