Important results from the project

The project`s societal challenge, is to meet resourse requirements and needs for service and security as equally as possible for both the central town an rural area, based on the conditions of a small municipality. The project´s focus has been to meet the conflict of goals that arises when streamlining operations with the help of digital services. The project has developed both technical solutions such as methods for digital inclusion, collaboration and change management as well as produced a method manual to become an age-friendly municipality.

Expected long term effects

By identifying different social infrastructures and developing structures for collaboration, the project has created conditions for increased digital capability in combination with digital functions and services the project has developed. The effects of the project results are expected to contribute to increasing the independence, health and social inclusion of the elderly, as well as more efficient working methods in elderly care. The combined effect will be an age-friendly municipality.

Approach and implementation

Based on the results of the project´s needs inventory, a number of prioritized applications, methods and tools have been packaged and tested to improve work processes, simplify for users and develop sustainable business models where all parts can be part of an ecosystem. Collaboration with civil society and their role in achieving project results and long-term effects has been significant. By continuously testing and evaluating the methods and tools, they have been able to be adapted to contribute to the impact goals of becoming an age-friendly municipality.
