Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to develop a purification method for Enzas surfactant that is more efficient, more environmental friendly and scalable. Enza has during the course of the project succeeded in fulfilling the goals that were set up regarding the development of improved purification methodology and scaling up the process and subsequent purification 100 times.
Expected long term effects
By developing an improved purification methodology, Enza has substantially reduced the time and resources needed for purification of their surfactant. This will facilitate the production of surfactant for testing and at the same time increase the value of the total process and enhance the possibilities for entering into a partnership with potential customers.
Approach and implementation
The project has developed as expected and the time plan has been followed as anticipated. Laboratory work has been combined in a fruitful way with customer contacts and collection of market information, which has given valuable feedback to what the expectations are on the product and that are good to consider in the development of an improved process.
