Development and Application of Innovation Commons for Innovation Ecosystem Development"

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to create a more effective and sustainable innovation support system by developing and applying the "Innovation Commons" model. The objectives are to disseminate knowledge, develop tools for the long-term management and governance of commons, and pilot a digital infrastructure to enhance transparency, collaboration, and scalability within innovation ecosystems.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to establish a Community of Practice for innovation commons, develop and test models for commons management, and produce a specification for digital infrastructure. The outcomes include improved capacity to manage shared resources, enhanced transparency and efficiency in the innovation support system, and scalable tools and guidelines for long-term sustainability.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is organized into three parallel work packages: (1) disseminating knowledge about commons and establishing a Community of Practice, (2) developing and testing methods for commons management with a focus on governance and sustainability, and (3) piloting a digital infrastructure for commons. The work packages follow an iterative approach, integrating efforts to create synergies and shared learning.
