Important results from the project
Borås city was one of the pioneers in Sweden to reduce landfill and convert waste to energy, fuels and materials. This knowledge is now shared with other countries in ´Waste Recovery- International Partnership´, in which the city, University of Borås and more than 20 organizations collaborate. In this project, we focus on Brazil, and have a goal to reach concrete projects to develop its sister network in Brazilian cities, offer commercial courses on sustainable waste management, and develop shared projects on waste management and recycling and biogas production in Brazil.
