Venture Impact Innovation: Designing the places of the future for attractive, accessible and sustainable communities
Call Impact innovation: transition lab for the living environments of the future

Purpose and goal

With the initiative for expansion of the Linköping–Örebro double track as a platform, the project ASSISTS aims to develop, test and disseminate methods, tools and processes for cross-sectoral collaboration that accelerate the transition to sustainable transport and a sustainable society. The starting point is that technical solutions are not enough but must be combined with a broad system perspective and collaboration between public actors, business and citizens.

Expected effects and result

The ASSISTS project will contribute to increased and effective collaboration in transition projects – both in the short term, longer term and in contexts outside the transformation project in focus. In the short term, the focus will be on further developing collaboration in the double-track project and dissemination within the transition lab. For long-term effect, the project will, through a palette of communication activities, spread knowledge about collaboration and forms of collaboration.

Planned approach and implementation

Project ASSISTS is led by Chalmers Industriteknik in close collaboration with Trivector Mobility, 2030-sekretariatet and Funkis Multimedia. In addition, the project includes three key needs owners - Region Örebro Län, Region Östergötland and Motala Kommun. The project will be carried out during the period 2026-07-01 to 2029-06-30 and the work is structured through five work packages where interaction, dialogue and collaboration with public actors, business and citizens are in focus.
