Important results from the project

Application project resulted in a competitive proposal submitted for the call for proposals HORIZON-CL4-2025-02-SPACE-31

Expected long term effects

AquaGuard is a project that aims to create a flood forecasting system that rapidly processes data from satellites and ground-based sensors using an AI algorithm. It aims to provide early warnings to increase safety and preparedness across Europe, minimize damage and enable rapid evacuations. The project will strengthen the competitiveness and independence of the European space industry by enabling the development of new, tailored products.

Approach and implementation

Application project went according to plan. A consortium consisting of 9 partners from 6 different European countries was built. Work consisted of consortium meetings, working meetings, workshops and actual writing work. Work was generally going as planned and on schedule. Collaboration worked well, all meetings were digital, and all partners were able to work in the same shared document.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
