Important results from the project
The Appalanche application, which is an application for mobile phones used to locate victimes in an avalanche, is now in an Alfa state and can be introduced to distribution partners.
Expected long term effects
Appalanche now has a stable smartphone application where all releveant parts are working according to plan. Appalanche can now approach partners for distribution and also take the next step to a Beta application. Key IPR is protected by a patent application, meaning discussions can be held effectively with limited risk.
Approach and implementation
Appalanche divided up the project into different parts. We updated and refined our localization algorithm. Application development and patentwork was handled with the help of consultants. Setup of infrastructure was also done during the project. We managed to finalize all parts on time.
