Important results from the project
The objective that was set from the beginning was that the map would become an attractive and user friendly site that stimulates the introduction of measures for a sustainable and healthy food environment. We believe that we have achieved this objective through the project, as we have collected, visualized and made information available in a clear way. Our endeavor has been to make it easy for users to post and find ongoing research, and learn from successful projects around the world.
Expected long term effects
There is a large amount of knowledge and experience about policy measures and research from other countries that could be introduced and followed up in Sweden - and vice versa. After the launch, Action Map is now open source, which means that visitors themselves can submit requests to include their project or actions on the map. This opportunity for cross-pollination of knowledge and experience can now contribute to accelerating the transition towards sustainable and healthy food environments.
Approach and implementation
We believe that the activities were well carried out and that the project followed the original plan. In short, AP1 has consisted of desk research and mapping. AP2 overlapped AP1, when the agency The Apartment began coding and designing the online map, which was finally launched at an event during AP3. This was followed by strategic communication during 2025 by Reformaten, Mission Matmiljö, parties from the advisory group and all participants´ international networks.
