Important results from the project

In 2024, Drive Swede participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona with a booth, aiming to showcase the program and Swedish innovation capacity, build international networks, and create pride and focused energy within the program. A delegation of over 30 people from 15 partner organizations participated, eight projects were presented in the booth, and three on the official stage. All participants stated that their participation met or exceeded expectations.

Expected long term effects

In designing the booth and its content, we managed to summarise and visualise Drive Sweden´s journey and path forward. This work now forms the basis for the direction set for the program´s final stage. Messaging and graphics will be able to be used to communicate the program´s message even in the long term. The broad partner and project participation and conversations in the booth with international actors also created connections that can result in new ideas and collaborations.

Approach and implementation

The project was coordinated from Drive Sweden´s office at Lindholmen Science Park with support from Volvo Cars. The board and partner network were invited early on to contribute with ideas, participate in the delegation, and submit abstracts to the conference. Through a booth schedule, everyone in the delegation was given clear tasks during the fair. Booth concepts and design were developed internally at Lindholmen Science Park, which included a 3D model of the booth that could be visited in VR.
