Information meeting about the research network COST

Thu 6 May 2021 at 10:00-12:00

Are you interested in participating in international networking projects to use research resources more efficiently? Then sign up for Vinnova's digital information meeting about COST, European Cooperation in Science and Technology.

Through international network projects, COST wants to use research resources more efficiently. The research is conducted in technology, social sciences and medicine and covers everything from basic research to applied research. Interdisciplinarity and collaboration between research groups in the participating countries are particularly emphasized. Participation is open to universities, as well as the public and private sectors.

Collaborations within COST are channeled via so-called COST Actions, which can be described as a network dedicated to scientific collaboration, complementing national research funds. There is no central project financing within COST, but the initiative provides funding for networking and exchange of experience in the COST actions.

At the information meeting, you will get an overall picture of COST. We will talk about how to join a COST Action as well as tips and advice on what you need to think about before a COST proposal. We will also inform about the opportunity to participate as an expert in COST's Review Panels.
