Important results from the project
The project has laid the foundation for several important areas in the company. User studies have created a better understanding of both functionality and commercial topics such as price and willingness to pay. Prototype work and design have created the conditions for in-depth dialogues with potential customers and investors. The technical implementation has created the conditions for increasing user benefits.
Expected long term effects
The overall goal of the project was to design and implement new functionality that helps the user find investment alternatives in line with their values. The goal has been achieved and the new functions have been implemented and are available live in a production environment. In addition to the technical implementation, an expanded understanding of the market, customers and demand has been obtained.
Approach and implementation
The iterative method used for user studies, design and implementation proved to be an effective way to carry out the project. Sometimes new problems / ideas were discovered when the prototype was tested that was not identified in the research phase. Then the problems could be solved with minimal cost because the functionality has not yet been implemented in the code base. Customer tests and interviews served as a good framework for better understanding prevailing problems and thus initiating commercial discussions.
