Important results from the project

Cling Systems is leading the development of the first intelligent and global market platform for used lithium-ion batteries. With the support of this project, we developed our product into a functional tool, and we took a big step closer to our vision to accelerate the transition to circular energy systems. Our position as a thought leader and journey towards the world´s first digital mine for circular raw materials was greatly strengthened.

Expected long term effects

This grant supported the development of the market platform that enables efficient value capturing of used lithium-ion batteries. By onboarding strategic early users as well as establishing a strong presence in the industry at an international level, our global business potential was tested and verified. We are on track to accelerate the transition to circular lithium-ion batteries, which are important for several UN social development goals and will strengthen Sweden´s position as a leader in sustainable development.

Approach and implementation

The project made it possible to further deepen and develop the first edition of the Cling market platform. The first edition was launched in August and was filled with a selection of users from both sellers and buyers of the battery ecosystem. Users agreed to be part of a test fleet and from a user perspective provide valuable feedback that influenced content and features to meet the requirements of efficiency and usability. Together with these strategic customers, our product and our services will be further developed in the future.
