Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to install Dripp on pipes at the roofs of commercial property owners. This is to see how Dripp works and to ensure that there is an interest in the solution. We have had 4 Dripp sensors installed on roofs for office properties throughout the summer. We have seen that the solution gives the results that were desired since we got alarm when there were an actual leak during the test. We have just as we hoped for discovered some improvement possibilities and seen the importance of integration into real estate systems to handle the alarms.

Expected long term effects

During the summer, there have been problems with leakage on one of the roofs and Dripp alerted for this immediately. It was really proof that a solution like Dripp is needed. We have also received confirmation that this is a solution that is valuable and that property owners will be able to invest in this solution. We have to make integrations with property systems to be able to get the large property owners to invest in Dripp. This is so that they can handle all alarms in one system.

Approach and implementation

The project began with further development of the solution. The development included both packaging the hardware, switching to LoRa, and building a simple interface to manage the sensors and alarms. After this development, the sensors were installed on 4 selected pipes together with the property owner. The results have shown the desired effect and they alarm when there were leakage. What we see that we need to develop are primarily the following areas. Mounting of the tape and sensor in an easier way, as well as developing software and building integrations to property systems.
