Important results from the project

The project fulfilled its objective to strengthen standardization and collaboration in autonomous vehicle testing. SAFRAN developed ATOS – an open test control system – and contributed to ASAM OpenODD and ISO 22133:2025. The results are already used in projects such as MODI and EVIDENT, and have led to commercial applications, increased test automation and Swedish influence in international standardization

Expected long term effects

SAFRAN is expected to contribute to more efficient and safer testing environments for autonomous vehicles through standardized tools such as ASAM and ISO. The project strengthens Swedish competitiveness, enables the export of testing services and influences international standards. The results promote innovation, shorten development times and create a strategic platform for future research and product development

Approach and implementation

The project followed the planned structure with four work packages and was largely implemented on schedule. Some external factors, such as slower development in ASAM groups, required reprioritization. A physical demo was replaced by a workshop, which provided wider dissemination. The collaboration worked well and the project developed in line with the goals.
