Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim of the project was to develop and strengthen municipalities work with including young people in local decision making. Doing this by using a method where young people set the agenda for relevant areas for improvement - and then co-create solutions for them together with local decision-makers. The project wanted to explore how cross-sectorial cooperation can be designed to strengthen young inclusion in decision making and how iterative prototyping can be used for implementing young people´s ideas for improvement locally.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim was to increase the inclusion of young people in decision making at the local level, to explore what happens in the meeting between the working methods of different sectors and to spread the lessons learned. The methods that have been used locally have worked well, has reached both young people and decision-makers, and have led to local implementations of solution proposals. The project has developed the cross-sectoral project group´s view of ageism and lessons learned has reached a variety stakeholders across the country.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** In 9 idea workshops led by young employees, young people have gotten to express their opinions on what effects their lives - themes from these workshops have been explored at local hackathons where decision-makers and young people have worked together to develop improvement proposals for their municipality. These have then been deepened in smaller groups of young people and decision-makers, which in turn led to implemented prototypes. The project also carried out a conference focusing on the role of adults in the exclusion of young people.
