Important results from the project
White Label Project (WLP) is on a mission to empower impact brands from developing countries. The purpose of the project funded by Vinnova was to expand WLP´s scope and develop a digital community and learning platform to enable impact brands within fashion and design to accelerate the growth of their own brands and businesses and connect with the international design scene. On our new platform, impact brands will be able to connect, learn and accelerate change to a more sustainable future. We have the ambitious goal of creating a community of 500 impact-driven leaders by 2025.
Expected long term effects
The WLP Brand Lab was successfully conceptualised and the prototype that has been developed during the project will be piloted within the coming months. The heart of the WLP Brand Lab is its community where impact brands can connect to learn from and collaborate with each other to grow and strengthen their respective brands. By growing their brands and businesses through the WLP Brand Lab, entrepreneurs and designers will be able to capture a higher added value for their products translating into higher revenues and high incomes and incrased social and environmental impact.
Approach and implementation
The project was divided into 4 workstreams - 1) we identified the business needs of our target group identified through research 2) we defined the overall concept for the WLP Brand Lab with a series of design sprints with industry experts 3) we identified and established strategic partnerships with industry experts 4) We developed the prototype of the proposed WLP Brand Lab with help of a product designer and copywriter. The original plan was followed and successfully completed with a core team of 4 plus selected expert consultants.
