Purpose and goal
The initiative aims to build long-term strategic relationships between Sweden and small, innovative countries like Singapore and Switzerland. It focuses on highlighting strategies that make companies competitive and eco-friendly. Instead of starting from existing problems, it emphasizes necessary solutions and promotes an expanded innovation agenda. The goals are to reach 400 companies with inspirational material, engage 50 in workshops, and create lasting sustainability collaborations.
Expected effects and result
Deliverables from this work can be measured in quantitative terms such as digital outreach (number of users of reports, methods, inspirational material), number of companies contacted and nudged, participation in workshops, skill-enhancing initiatives, and matched start-ups/companies. Other deliverables include lasting collaborations and forms of cooperation between the small, smart countries.
Planned approach and implementation
The work approach mirrors the UNFCCC’s global innovation hub and emphasizes innovative solutions for climate change and sustainability challenges. The work is divided into six work packages: 1) Project management and communication, 2) Activating companies, 3) Workshops for companies, 4) Future solutions and cross-connections with innovators, 5) Competence-enhancing efforts for company management, and 6) Lasting collaboration structures between the countries.
