Important results from the project
The objective is met in the project to test and verify the heating and cooling characteristics of various forms of synthetic diesel. The project has also provided plan for continued research and innovation processes of the company.
Expected long term effects
Fourteen recipes based on synthetic diesel and two petroleum-based diesel recipes have been tested. The company has received the heating and cooling characteristics of these and can now better choose which recipes can be productified and which can continue to be tested and developed for application in various types of cooling and heating systems.
Approach and implementation
In the project various recipes for synthetic diesel have been tested to investigate the cooling and heating properties. The verification was made over a 10 month period. The project began to develop recipes of synthetic diesel with different cooling and boiling points. The fluids were delivered to KTH for testing and verification against a selection of ASTM and ISO standards. A research and innovation plan has been developed for the further development of various applications e g in the energy-, transport-, forestry- and manufacutring industry.
