Important results from the project
The overall purpose of the project has been for V6 municipalities to be able to better utilize the possibilities of digitalisation in collaboration, such as streamlining and improved service through the development of digitally based functions and working methods. Step1 has been about inventorying and analysing challenges, identifying development needs and anchoring this with the project´s partners in order to address this in step2. Step1 has given a clear picture of the challenges and development needs through a workshop. Hence the project’s purpose and goals are thus fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
The results from step 1 are a better understanding of the challenges that exist, to achieve a better ability to lead and organize digital transformation in municipal collaboration as well as common grounding of these challenges in all seven municipalities. It is also a joint expression of will to make a development effort to challenge these. This is in line with the expected effects of step 1: to achieve a common picture of the challenges of leading and organizing digital transformation in collaboration among the project members and the conditions for writing a proposal for step 2.
Approach and implementation
In step 1, 12 people with various functions from the project´s mebers, (V6) (6 municipalities and their IT function) were interviewed by HIS, in the aim that everyone should have to give their view of the needs and challenges of digital transformation in local cooperation. In parallel, HIS has further developed the study´s research foundation. After this, a joint workshop was arranged with participants from all project’s members, where challenges and development efforts were discussed jointly and established firmly. This has provided a better foundation for step2 application.
