Important results from the project

RespiHeart wants to contribute to more resource-efficient care, by reducing time, physical transportation and financial investments, while improving care quality and patient safety. The overall goal is to enable better care for more patients by promoting the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare, which can thus contribute to meeting society´s growing care needs in the future, also in a global perspective. The project has contributed to making visible the needs and potential of the Indian market, as well as a first step towards collaborative projects.

Expected long term effects

The strategy for RespiHeart is to develop and commercialize products in collaboration with other medical technology companies. India is one of the markets that have been assessed as a priority. Large expected investments in the healthcare sector as an effect of strong growth in combination with the expected adoption of technological innovations means great opportunities. Through the project, contacts have been established, which resulted in several meetings and planning for a development and commercialization project between RespiHeart and market actors in India.

Approach and implementation

RespiHeart was offered to participate in a delegation trip to Hyderabad and New Dehli and saw it as a very interesting networking arena, regarding contacts for future product development, tests and market launch. Företagets VD Per Trossmark participated in the planned program items for startups. In connection with visits to CfHE and ITTH, Hyderabad, contacts were established with researchers and entrepreneurs. Follow-up meetings after the end of the trip have resulted in a joint project plan for the development of AI-powered sensor technology to diagnose lung diseases in India.
