Purpose and goal
The project aims to strengthen cooperation between Swedish and U.S. partners in applied AI and digital manufacturing. Its purpose is to explore how complementary academic and industrial capabilities can be combined in a practical, responsible way. The goal is to create a common foundation for future collaboration, knowledge exchange and joint development, while supporting Sweden’s competitiveness and deeper links to U.S. research and innovation environments across industry and education sectors.
Expected effects and result
The expected results are a common collaboration platform, shared methods and a limited set of public presentations. The work should help Swedish and U.S. partners build trust, compare capabilities, and prepare follow-on activities. Effects are expected mainly through stronger networks, new skills, academic and industrial exchange, and a clearer route for future bilateral work in responsible AI-enabled manufacturing for industry and academic settings.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be implemented as a focused cooperation between Swedish and U.S. partners, using coordinated planning, regular meetings, and selected exchanges. Work will proceed in stages: define shared requirements, carry out limited trials, develop and test digital methods, and evaluate a demonstrator in partner environments. Information sharing will be controlled, with public communication limited to general aims, learning outcomes and future collaboration opportunities across the partners.
