The overall objective was to build up a consortium to create a cooperative platform for long-term research and development and to overcome obstacles on implementation and export technologies into the market of China.

Results and expected effects

(1) A cooperative consortium has been built-up; (2) specific innovative projects have been identified; (3) a new proposal has been submitted to VINNOVA; (4) agreement between universities has been signed; (5) new cooperation with Jiangsu in China has been initially discussed; and (6) a new visiting of Jiangsu from academia and authorities in Sweden is arranging. It is expected that a new generation of biogas processes will be demonstrated in the near future in Sweden and China, and a new long-term cooperation between Sweden and Jiangsu province in China will be established.
