Purpose and goal
The project addresses an often overlooked but critical part of healthcare infrastructure: material supply. Its objective is to increase transparency, coordination, and sustainability in supply systems that are currently fragmented and difficult to manage. With a system-wide approach, the project aims to strengthen healthcare’s capacity to meet complex needs in both routine and crisis situations.
Expected effects and result
The project will produce an overview mapping of current relevant supply processes in the participating regions, including ongoing activities. It will also compile existing knowledge and prior experiences related to sustainable and resilient supply. The result is a shared knowledge base and collaboration structure that enables a future implementation project of national relevance.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out as a system-oriented pre-study focusing on fragmented supply chains, rising costs, and weak coordination. The work includes mapping the current state, conducting an environmental scan, reviewing existing initiatives, and collecting internal and external knowledge. Collaboration between two regions and two universities will provide a foundation for scalable models and future development.
