Sweden Startup Nation

Purpose and goal

Sweden Startup Nation (SSN) is initiated by FUHS, Innovationskontoren, Bling and SISP. This project refers to the first phase of the initiative. Sweden needs an independent organisation with focus on startups and scaleups, as existing actors often miss their unique needs. The purpose is to establish the basis for the organisation to strengthen Sweden´s ecosystem, and goals are developing methods for data collection and analysis, make knowledge available and engage more organisations to SSN.

Expected effects and result

After the project period, we have laid the foundation for data collection methods, both qualitative and quantitative, researched and determined the technical platform, started the new organization and identified which competencies the organization needs to move into the operational phase. We have also identified and validated the future funding model for the organization.

Planned approach and implementation

The project starts with the formation of working groups focused on data collection, technical feasibility study, dialogue forums, financing strategies and organization. The working groups consist of representatives from the project parties and experts in each field, including international experts. The work takes place iteratively with anchoring in the ecosystem through dialogue forums and reference groups.
