Important results from the project

SIIDs aimed to provide insights, experience and knowledge around sustainability and how to promote sustainable innovation. It´s focus was to identify synergies, exploring collaboration opportunities, exposing and exploring the tech scene in Israel. In general, it can be stated that all the activities that were carried out fulfilled the purpose. The goal was concrete collaborations, business and learning between the countries as well as meetings between different actors from incubators, companies, startups & investors, which has given rise to several concrete collaborations.

Expected long term effects

With the increased understanding of the respective country´s position and strengths it became clear that there are several opportunities for a more hands-on cooperation. Initially, by exploring matchmaking possibilities between start-ups from the two countries and through organizations working closer together cross-border. Following that, more sharing of best-practice and to open up for investments in respective country. Incubators to incubators, corporates to corporates and with start-ups to start-ups and investment syndication from various investors more is possible.

Approach and implementation

Three days of Sweden Israel Innovation during which we could participate in the various sessions during the program. Roundtable discussions with incubators, companies, investors & start-ups, to identify cooperation opportunities. Dinner at the Swedish ambassador´s residence. Startup Nation Centrals conference, "Climate Solution Festival", where some of us participated in various panels and sessions. An intensive programme that provided an incredible number of contacts and opportunities to present our model and be able to acquire a lot of knowledge about Israel´s ecosystem.
