Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Aim was to be able to administer clinical studies digitally. The business has grown so much that manual handling has become impossible. The goal was to have a production-ready IT system. Sub-goal was to develop a target architecture and a prototype to verify that the system meets the study unit eligibility requirements.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has resulted in a production-ready system that is used by the staff at the study unit to administer the work process around the clinical studies. The effects have exceeded expectations as we partly see the possibility of expanding the functionality of the system. And partly because the same system can be "copied" and used in other business areas. We mainly think of the standardized care processes.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project began with a market survey which revealed that no supplier has the system we are looking for. We then asked ourselves the question, should we build the solution ourselves or is there a smarter way. There was a smarter way. Namely, using the already procured software from Microsoft We found at this point that we needed a prototype. Actually the first step in an innovation partnership procurement. But, as the platform was already procured, we did not need to do any procurement. Och Microsoft financed the prototype.
