Purpose and goal
The aim of this planning grant funding is to support the strengthening and resubmission of a MSCA Doctoral Network proposal within the Guild-ARUA cluster of research excellence on Food Environment Actions for Health. The goal is to strengthen two key areas of the application, Excellence and Impact, for which we received scores of 4.5 each (out of 5) in the last round.
Expected effects and result
This will result in a competitive application that includes: - Three to five new Doctoral Candidate (DC) projects drafted with African partners as beneficiaries. - African partners who were previously associated partners, now designated as beneficiaries if they are hosting a DC project. -The INSPIRE4HE Project Plan Part B1 and B2 with updated information on the newly added DC projects. - Better integration across the proposal that showcases the high ambition level of the INSPIRE4HE proposal.
Planned approach and implementation
- Current African associated partners will determine if they can host a doctoral candidate (DC) in line with MSCA DN standards and according to their HR and legal teams. - A workshop(s) will take place in Glasgow (June 14-17) on the side of the Guild ARUA CoRE conference. - The final set of individual projects will be strengthened and corresponding parts will be drafted by each corresponding partner, and integrated into the main project by the coordinating partner.
