Important results from the project

Through the project, a number of training modules for strengthened innovative capacity in healthcare have been developed and implemented at Danderyds hospital, Tiohundra, Karolinska University Hospital and the Red Cross university college. 6 courses with an average of 8 participants from the care profession and about 100 nursing students have been completed. The follow-up shows great appreciation from participants and management, implemented improvements and lasting organizational changes at the participating hospitals.

Expected long term effects

The project has created a tailor-made training for healthcare professionals with the ambition of strengthening their and the organization´s innovative ability. The training has been completed successfully at the participating hospitals and for nursing students. It has also been integrated into the nursing education and is intended to be integrated into Tiohundra´s internal education for nurses. The group has also created new international relations and collaborations on education.

Approach and implementation

The project had a relevant and committed group of parties from both the educational and clinical side. The relatively high pressure on healthcare was felt in the project even before the pandemic, which meant that planned participants often had sudden obstacles. The course was then developed into several formats, including blended learning, with guidance via the web and practical training in one´s own clinical activities. However, the pandemic also slowed down the web-based courses and the project. However, the group continues the collaboration even after the end of the project.
