Important results from the project
The goal of the project was to identify obstacles and solutions to develop smart loops, coupled to behavior and policy aspects.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in a mapping of obstacles and solutions within existing smart loops and within four case studies for potentially new loops. The project has shown that there are already good examples of functioning smart loops in Sweden and that there is a strong interest among Swedish businesses to develop these loops. However, there are several challenges associated with this that are discussed further in the project. For companies that want to get started, the project has developed an action plan consisting of a number of points that should be investigated before starting.
Approach and implementation
The project began with a mapping of existing loops. The purpose with this was to get a better overview of how such loops have been built, and what challenges exists. This was then investigated further with the help of four case studies: 1) Pallet stretch film, 2) lashings and round slings, 3) plastic packaging of clothing and 4) sports items for floorball. In the project, both individual obstacles and measures have been identified, as more general obstacles and measures that seem to be common in the loops the project has looked at. The project ended with a communication event.
