Important results from the project

ShiftLabs has experienced strong growth and exceeded its goals. We have focused on delivering value to companies, supporting 245 businesses and transferring a value of over 30.1 million through 415 services. Our service portfolio is tailored to meet companies´ needs, ranging from basic entry-level activities to advanced digital solutions in AI, automation, and IIoT. Through collaboration with other EDIHs in Sweden and across Europe, we see great potential in further developing our services.

Expected long term effects

ShiftLabs is expected to have a significant impact on digital transformation and innovation capacity within Swedish industry, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By establishing a sustainable collaboration structure between academia, research institutes, and industry, ShiftLabs will strengthen Sweden´s competitiveness. Increased digital maturity among SMEs through access to expertise, training, and testbeds. A sustainable innovation hub that continues to develop.

Approach and implementation

The project is a collaboration between eight partners and is coordinated by MDU. ShiftLabs has developed according to plan and exceeded expectations. The first year was challenging, with securing co-financing and establishing processes, but we have since successfully delivered services. We have reached more companies than planned and created significant value. The collaboration has worked well, both nationally and internationally.
