Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to further develop the Vakansa.se platform in an iterative way & in accordance with the needs, problems & wishes that our customers have as property owners, premises owners & tenants looking for premises. The goal during the project has been to unearth as many insights as possible about our customers´ conditions regarding joint use/location sharing & digitize necessary ancillary services. Both those that are now built into the platform, to be built in & completely new services that we hope to build in in the future after pilots.
Expected long term effects
We have received a great response from both premises seekers & premises owning tenants who both confirmed & denied the obstacles we considered to be the most important to overcome when it comes to shared use of premises. We have gained more users using the platform & have also found a way forward to involve property owners more in the future, as a partner to scale up sharing as a concept. Where data collection & new KPIs give property owners reason to encourage their tenants to precisely share premises. The result has been more users & new partners
Approach and implementation
We carried out two large iterations with "test and reference groups". One with around 30 surveyed premises owning tenants. The other with around 50 property owners, banks and appraisers. Market research was conducted. Individual interviews & meetings. Round table discussions with groups of approximately 6 people. Work with researchers, experts & lawyers. Reading through theses, research articles & other publications about room sharing. A large part of the analysis is also to ensure that what the users said they want - is actually something they want to pay for!
