Coordinator Epishine AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 795 149
Project duration November 2025 - October 2026
Status Ongoing
Venture Eureka Cluster within Sustainable Value Chains

Purpose and goal

Epishine will develop and validate new ink formulations for defect-free and sustainable printing of organic solar cells. The goal is to increase production yield, reduce material waste and strengthen the possibilities of replacing batteries with light-powered OPV solutions.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to result in improved manufacturing processes for organic solar cells with fewer defects and higher yields. Epishine will gain increased production stability and reduced material waste, leading to lower costs and less environmental impact. The results strengthen the possibility of replacing batteries with sustainable, light-powered energy solutions for IoT and smart products.

Planned approach and implementation

Epishine will test and validate new ink formulations in its line for roll-to-roll production. The work includes optimization of process parameters, quality control and analysis of coating results. The collaboration with the material supplier ensures that the development leads to stable, scalable and sustainable production of organic solar cells.
