Important results from the project

Our Vinnova project succeeded in fulfilling its purpose and goals set to it as we managed to develop our understanding of smart cities needs for water quality via interaction with the relevant stakeholders. Utilizing the output for features/functions creating on both hardware and software level leading to our standalone, dedicated for smart cities prototype creation and interactive interface of parameters monitoring. A letter of intend and a pilot with one of the biggest stakeholders within water quality segment in Skåne was also an output from this project.

Expected long term effects

As an immediate output to our project with Vinnova we have now a good understanding of what smart cities water quality segment needs and what challenges are there for now and the foreseen future, this will allow us to maximize positive environmental impact, while our company is in a better position to expand in this particular market as our pilot is up and running creating our database and collecting feedback from stakeholders. We can see a clear mid-term effect of this project in us prioritizing and adding new needed parameters to our product line.

Approach and implementation

We had to go through several iterations over layout and implementation due to stakeholders feedback, maintenance and environmental conditions reality. Improvements related to durability, readings during water freeze, installation methods and related accessories for storm water lakes was implemented. Our software interface went through similar processes as we aimed to simplify access to relevant data dealing with noise and providing stakeholders with basic tools to better analyze the live data out of our monitoring station.
