Important results from the project
This project was a pre-project within the "BioInnovation" Project, with the goal of forming a consortium that would work towards establishing ethanol as a platform chemical in Sweden. The consortium would establish production of high value chemicals, for example BioPE and BioMEG, using both first and second generation ethanol produced in Sweden.
Expected long term effects
The Project failed to convince industrial partners to invest in the Project. After countless of project meetings organised by IVL where all the other project proposals were discussed our project was restructured to accomodate other project proposals.
Approach and implementation
The project was coordinated by IVL. Numerous Project meetings were held to try and build consortiums that would stretch the complete value chain and to try and identify common activities within the group.
