| Call | Impact Innovation: advising small and medium-sized manufacturing companies on transitioning to net zero |
Purpose and goal
The aim project aims to support small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in their transition to net-zero emissions. Through coaching and mentoring, the project will help participating companies reduce greenhouse gas emissions through measures both in their own operations and along the entire value chain. This will also give the companies agency to make smarter decisions about energy, materials and production processes, while maintaining or strengthening competitiveness.
Expected effects and result
In the project, RISE applies already established advisory processes and offerings to nine foundry companies to ensure that their processes meet the goal of profitable transition. Each company receives a clear picture of its current situation, including its main emission sources within the scope of the project, the measures that have the greatest impact, and a plan for how progress will be monitored using indicators linked to emission reductions, resource efficiency, and implementation.
Planned approach and implementation
The project involves nine small and medium-sized Swedish metal foundries. Each company chooses to focus on one of the three areas: Circularity, Climate Impact or Energy Use. The activities are based on ready-made offers that have previously been developed by RISE to meet the needs of the manufacturing industry. The approach will be adapted to the challenges and needs of each foundry, but within each area there is also the opportunity to network and share experiences with others.
