Important results from the project

The aim was that Mid Sweden University would contribute to create a national leading example in the form of a co-working environment for the public sector. That has been done and the project has been a prerequisite for it. There is a lot of interest all over Sweden in building similar co-working environments and other universities have shown interest in learning more about how an academic environment can use that type of creative premises and collaboration spaces.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The collaboration has been used in various ways by both teachers, students and within operational support. The activities have both been initiated as own or joint activities but also participation in others´. New contacts and collaborations have been created at the same time as the mutual understanding of each other´s different conditions and driving forces has increased. However, the possibility of using Samverket more for education and research needs to be taken care of better in the future.

Approach and implementation

At start, Mid Sweden University had 8 places to distribute. Both teachers, researchers, student union presidents and adm support were allocated places. Those who did not use the places were exchanged for others who were interested. An increased interest came in January 2023 when it became free for everyone within the institution to use Samverket (when membership no longer became personal). Initially, a workshop was held to see the possibilities of using Samverket. At the end of May 2023, a workshop was also held as follow-up, see appendix
