Important results from the project

We can reduce costs, waste and time of our partners and enable returning customers through incentivising the return of products with our digital deposit system. loop-it creates a responsible and sustainable brand image and shows our partner´s and customer´s environmental impact by tracking every product in use.

Expected long term effects

We have successfully integrated loop-it to Shopify in order to be used by our e-commerce partners. This development includes the integration to Shopify, the further development of our Partner App to scan the products sent out by our partners. Each item is provided with a unique QR code that is scanned at delivery and again at return through our Partner App. This tracking enables our partners to see, how many times each item has been reused, when it has been collected and returned, how long it has been in use for etc. Relevant data to follow a product´s life cycle.

Approach and implementation

We started with user research and service design methods to analyse the flow and processes of our e-commerce partners. During interviews and workshops, we collected enough data and information to build the system architecture. The flows and service was designed on Figma and developed into a functioning app. We did continuous testings, check-ins with our partner to further improve our app, integration and features. Our systems architecture was set up in a smart and efficient way to be able to generate unique QR codes that different partners can assign their own product type to a new QR code.
