Important results from the project

The project had as a goal to implement a mobile application including a logistics planning module and waste management module for construction projects. The project team managed to test the solution for logistics and waste management in construction in two reference projects. The application has been published to Apple App Store in order to reach a broader international customer audience.

Expected long term effects

The project shows large reductions in lead times and significantly improves logistics and communication with suppliers and subcontractors in a construction project. Reference construction project LifeCity has over 2785 delivery bookings planed during 2019 and 2020 with the application. Our second construction project - Nobelberget has 874 bookings planned with LogiPlan. This shows a large usage and acceptance of the solution in the projects and as a result significant cost reductions and a large potential for savings in future construction projects.

Approach and implementation

The project has been planned to be developed in parallel with implementing the logistics proccess and the beta version of the mobile application with two construction projects - LifeCity and Nobelberget in the Stockholm region. This has insured quick feedback and acceptance in real construction projects. The project has got help from an outsourcing team abroad to cut costs. We have been successful to involve great competence in this way and locally in Stockholm and deliver results in a very short period of time. The project has had a delay at the end due the Corona pandemic.
