Purpose and goal

Aim: integrate social entrepreneurship as a force for socially sustainable development in cities characterized by economic and societal growth due industrial establishment. Objective: further develop a collaboration model between relevant actors to create understanding that contributes to increased job opportunities. Social entrepreneurs take on local challenges and operate close to the target group, which creates conditions for more effective solutions and leads to more inclusion and diversity.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to create a long-term, replicable collaborative model for socially sustainable development in Boden, by integrating municipality, industry, social entrepreneurs and civil society. The focus is on job opportunities for young adults and accompanying persons and promoting gender equality and integration. Through dialogue and an improved cooperation checklist, the local community is strengthened, leading to attractive and sustainable environments for industrial establishments

Planned approach and implementation

Reach for Change will together with Boden municipality, Sunderby Folkhögskola, Boden Utveckling AB and Stegra gather representatives from various sectors of society in Boden to identify the challenges that mainly young adults and women face in the industrial establishment that takes place. We will further develop a long-term and replicable collaboration model that responds to the needs of the target group by involving the stakeholders in 2 steps: conceptualize and test.
