Important results from the project

Social entrepreneurship was integrated in the work for socially sustainable development in a city characterized by industrial growth. The joint collaboration model has been developed and contributed to increased capacity and new routines for collaboration between sectors. More targeted interventions was implemented through increased understanding of the target group and local challenges, which strengthened equality, inclusion and the conditions for increased job opportunities in the long term.

Expected long term effects

The model for socially sustainable development is expected to be replicated and further implemented in Boden.New routines for collaboration lead to increased social inclusion and job opportunities for the target group in the long term. The local community´s capacity and knowledge have been strengthened through the development of the collaborative model, contributing to increased gender equality and strengthened integration, laying the foundation for attractive and sustainable living environments.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented in two stages: conceptualize and test. Project partners and local actors identified needs and challenges that young adults and their families face in the establishment of the industry. Through co-creation workshops, responsibilities were distributed, and partners leveraged respective strengths to jointly develop, implement and evaluate activities adapted to identified needs. The updated checklist was published later to enable the integration of all lessons learned.
