Call | Build for the future - Innovation for a sustainable building and construction sector |
Purpose and goal
The building and construction sector is in need of developing and spreading methods, processes, products and materials that have a low climate footprint. LFM30´s members collaborate to advance development but need further coordination. The goal of the project is to develop a forum that reduces risks and speeds up the transition to a resource-efficient and circular construction process. The aim is to compile, disseminate and scale solutions from climate-neutral pilot projects and make methods and knowledge available to actors in the value chain and other regions.
Expected effects and result
The project will answer the following questions: - How can the actors within the construction sector share success factors of a joint learning to create the best possible conditions for realizing climate-neutral construction projects? - How can one use opportunities that the pilot projects encompass: best practise and benchmark in method and process development for LFM30s members? - How do we create proactive learning where the knowledge from the pilots is lifted into Malmö´s ambitions of a climate-neutral urban development by 2030?
Planned approach and implementation
The project´s implementation follows an experience-based learning model with the strength of good examples and the power of collaboration as guiding principles. Participants contribute with their own best practices. Collaboration takes place in facilitated forum meetings. 10 meetings are planned during the project period. Themes take their origin in participants´ actual challenges along the construction process. Presentations, results and pilot projects form the basis of educational material in form of digital reports, films and an interactive knowledge databases.
