Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to co-create Samverket with other member organisations, explore new ways of working and share our insights with others at Samverket and at Formas. In addition to Formas being testing Samverket as a "third workplace" to understand which activities and tasks were worth-while to perform at Samverket and which were better suited to our office, Formas’ members at Samverket shared their expertise within Formas´ areas of responsibility areas as well as competences related to organizational development.
Expected long term effects
Formas contributed to the design of Samverket as a workplace, its culture, routines and rituals. We explored new meeting concepts that promote experience and knowledge exchange. Formas had an active role in a number of initiatives that led to innovation and research projects that applied for funding from Vinnova and Forte respectively. Formas was involved in starting a number of interest and competence networks within Samverket. Creativity, exchange of experience, inspiration, collective learning and health-promoting effect were watchwords for Formas’ members at Samverket.
Approach and implementation
Ten memberships at Samverket were distributed between Formas’ employees on a voluntary basis. Formas´ members were asked to initiate their own visits and activities and actively participate in activities organized by other member organizations at Samverket. We arranged study visits to Samverket for Formas´ other employees. We evaluated Samverket and our contribution to Samverket using the design thinking methodology through collecting and analyzing insights from Formas´ members. We shared the lessons learned about Samverket both inside and outside our organization.
