Purpose and goal
The project aims to provide Lumiary with the best conditions to win funding in EIC Transition 2026. It builds on a previous application to the same programme that was awarded a Seal of Excellence, and the goal is to strengthen and finalise a new application with a sharper MEMS focus, documented customer interest, and credible organisational capacity – in order to bring the chromometric MEMS microphone technology from laboratory prototype to market.
Expected effects and result
The project delivers a complete, competitive application to EIC Transition 2026. In the longer term, the main project aims to validate the chromometric MEMS microphone technology in a relevant environment and prepare for future miniaturisation and production – addressing markets in hearing technology and photonic sensing, and contributing to European autonomy in sensor and semiconductor technology.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is structured around four work packages. WP1 updates the technical scope and MEMS focus of the main project. WP2 clarifies the business plan, go-to-market strategy and documents customer interest. WP3 strengthens the description of Lumiary´s organisational capacity, team and external relations. WP4 integrates the results and quality-assures the application with support from external EU consultants ahead of submission in September 2026.
