Purpose and goal
DRIVE PR strengthen the competitiveness of the Swedish manufacturing industry through data-driven product realization. The goal is to develop and demonstrate how the use of advanced digital infrastructure in a digital product realization process can reduce costs associated with risk, uncertainty and variation by 50%. This will lead to increased competitiveness and sustainable innovation as well as learning and scalability in the consortium and for the Swedish manufacturing industry.
Expected effects and result
Deliver a generally concept for data-driven product realization that strengthens the industry´s ability to manage risk, uncertainty and variation. In phase 1, the project establishes demonstrators, learning environments and industrial reference cases enabling improvement vs 2026 reference. The results will provide a basis for industrialization and further development in phase 2. Competence development is expected via doctors, engineers and further education who can implement after the project.
Planned approach and implementation
DRIVE PR is led by Chalmers, which drives the project forward in six work packages that are pulsed over 6 months intervals. The work is based on industrial needs and reference cases, where methods, tools and digital workflows are developed, tested and evaluated in close collaboration between academia, industry and research institutes. The project also includes Learning Lab, international collaboration, standardization, dissemination and planning for scale-up and phase 2.
