Purpose and goal
The project´s aim is to develop and evaluate an architecture for secure and dynamic orchestration of distributed edge intelligence in test environments for automated vehicles. The goal is to enable scalable and resource-efficient implementation of predictive safety functions, adapted to future 6G-inspired systems where communication, computation, and control can be integrated.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to result in a method for dynamic activation of partitioned security functions in distributed environments. The impact is increased understanding of how 6G-related edge concepts can be implemented in safety-critical applications and strengthened Swedish expertise in the connected and automated transport systems of the future.
Planned approach and implementation
The work is carried out as a master´s thesis with architectural analysis, design of orchestration mechanisms and experimental evaluation in the AstaZero test environment. Predictive security segments are distributed between vehicles and edge nodes and analyzed with respect to latency, reliability and security guarantees under realistic communication conditions.
