Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to make it easier for organizations to implement nudging in their sustainability efforts. The goal has been to make it easier for municipalities and companies to more easily absorb knowledge in behavioral design and nudging and to be able to apply it in reality by developing a digital coach based on Nudgd´s methodology for creating behavioral changes. In the project, a conceptual version of a digital coach has been developed and tests have been initiated with potential customers.
Expected long term effects
The result has largely been achieved, although Covid-19 has meant that e.g. user testing and business modeling have been more difficult, primarily through limited opportunities to meet customers and conduct interactive tests and observations IRL. The project has provided many answers to what needs there are and challenges for further work, especially in user-friendliness and technology. Further funding is needed for a market ready version, and the business model will need to be reworked with regard to identified needs.
Approach and implementation
The project plan consisted of three work packages with the aim of validating the market, model and technology for a digital coach: Concept validation, Prototype development and Market test. Early in the project, the need was validated through interviews with potential clients and a conceptual prototype was developed that was re-iterated with the clients. The tests have shown that the need exists, but also that the coach needs further development to respond to customer requirements, which is reflected in the plan ahead which focus on development, funding and elaborated business model.
